Vanessa Pires (b. 1980), cultural and artistic manager, cellist and teacher, holds a degree in cello from ESMAE and is currently taking a Master's Degree in Cultural and Heritage Management at the University of Barcelona with a scholarship from GDA.

She has been a cellist at Casa da Música for more than 15 years, a member of the Baroque Orchestra and a guest member of the Remix Ensemble and the Symphonic Orchestra. A cello teacher since 2002, she currently teaches, exclusively, at the Suzuki Method Academy A Pauta. Vanessa believes that music education is so important to society that all efforts made by teachers, students, schools and families must be respected and encouraged in order to create the fundamental basis for the human being education.

As co-founder of ARTWAY, Vanessa Pires defends a work of proximity among all cultural agents, contributing to the affirmation of Portuguese culture and its interpreters in Portugal and in the world. For this, she counts on many years of experience working with some of the most important names in the Portuguese and international music world, such as C. Azevedo, F. Biondi, B. Broniman, H. Christophers, L. Cummings, P. Hillier, P And others, having had the opportunity to play in all of the world's most important cities, as well as the city of Rio de Janeiro. Major concert halls in Portugal, as well as in the Philharmonic, Berlin (Germany), IRCAM and Center Pompidou, Paris; Scène Nationale, Orleans; Palace of Music and Congresses, Strasbourg (France); Haendel Festival, London (England); Festival of Ancient Music, Vbeda and Baeza (Spain).
