Cristina Pamplona, soprano, lawyer and project manager regularly collaborates with the Casa da Música Choir and has worked with outstanding conductors such as Douglas Boyd, Stefan Blunier, Baldur Brönnimann, Laurence Cummings, Leopold Hager, Paul McCreesh, Vassily Sinaisky, among others.
She was the project manager of ALERT Foundation and was responsible for drafting, coordinating and developing projects, workshops and cultural events using Art as a form of intervention with children and youth at risk in Institutions and Schools in Porto
Cristina studied at the Conservatório Música de Angra do Heroísmo with Luísa Alcobia Leal, and, at the Conservatório de Música do Porto, with Isabel Malaguerra. Later on, Cristina moved to California, United States and was enrolled in the San Francisco Conservatory of Music studying Voice with the Head of the Voice Department Prof. Hermann LeRoux. She received a scholarship from the Regional Department of Cultural Affairs, part of the Regional Secretariat for Education and Culture in the Azores, and the “Mayflower Choral Society” scholarship (California), having concluded her Master’s degree in Voice in 1998.
She participated in Masterclasses with Wolfgang Holzmair, Wolfram Rieger and Ulrike Sonntag and works regularly under the guidance of the baritone Job Tomé.
