A Artway foi criada em 2011 tendo por base os mais altos padrões de exigência e qualidade artística. Revelando-se um forte motor da música erudita portuguesa na Europa, a Artway representou Portugal na Associação Europeia de Agentes Artísticos (Casa da Cultura da Europa, Bruxelas), sendo a primeira instituição portuguesa a fazê-lo, desde a criação desta associação em 1947. Enquanto entidade dedicada à gestão cultural, gestão artística e à produção e edição discográfica, ao longo dos mais de 12 anos de existência, a Artway tem-se esforçado por criar relações de confiança com músicos, instituições culturais e autarquias, integrando redes de programação, no sentido de desenvolver um mecanismo de entreajuda que possa valorizar e fortalecer o trabalho artístico, nomeadamente no domínio da música erudita. Desenvolve atividade não só no domínio da música, mas, através de colaborações em projetos multidisciplinares, abarca outras áreas artísticas como a literatura, o teatro e a dança. Numa lógica de descentralização, a Artway tem vindo a estar envolvida na realização de produções artísticas diversificadas, de forma consistente e regular, com o intuito de formar e promover o aumento de público de Bragança a Portimão, passando por Madeira e Açores, e também fora de Portugal em países como Brasil, Espanha, França, Hungria e Reino Unido.

Músicos com os quais colaboramos no âmbito da gestão de carreira artística, gestão de projetos, edições discográficas e com os quais nos orgulhamos de ter uma relação estimulante profissionalmente e muito compensadora ao nível pessoal e humano.
Com colaborações regulares com as mais destacadas instituições culturais nacionais (CCB, Casa da Música, Metropolitana, EGEAC, Culturgest, entre outras), a Artway tem estado envolvida na encomenda de várias obras a compositores portugueses, assim como no importantíssimo registo desse património em edições discográficas que se têm tornado uma referência, através das suas editoras Artway Records e Artway Next. Nesse domínio, a um catálogo de mais de duas dezenas de títulos, tem proporcionado um alargamento significativo do registo do repertório nacional (com uma considerável quantidade de primeiras gravações de repertório inédito), o que se revela um património material e imaterial fundamental para preservar a produção cultural e regista-la para a posteridade. Todo esse trabalho tem encontrado eco nos mais importantes meios de comunicação social como a Antena 2 Público, Expresso, Jornal de Letras, SIC e RTP, mas também no contexto internacional, designadamente em espaços de comunicação de referência como a Radio France, a BBC Radio 3 e BBC Music Magazine, a Revista Gramophone, a Westdeutscher Rundfunk Köln (WDR), entre muitos outros. No programa de mentoria Artway Showcase, tem acolhido e acompanhado vários jovens emergentes no âmbito da gestão de carreira artística partilhando ferramentas essenciais para a construção do seu futuro profissional.

VANESSA PIRES

Vanessa Pires, b. 1980, with a degree in music (cello) from ESMAE and a master's degree in management of companies and cultural institutions from the University of Barcelona, she is co-founder and director of Artway, a cultural management and artistic project company based in Porto. Cellist of the Orquestra Barroca Casa da Música, since the European Capital of Culture Porto 2001, Vanessa has been part of several musical and recording projects at Casa da Música, having played, for several years, with the Orquestra Sinfónica do Porto and the Remix Ensemble of that renowned musical institution.
Vanessa joined the European Association of Artistic Agents representing Portugal, for the first time, since the creation of that association in 1947. The work she has developed in close partnership with artists, technicians, programmers, concert halls, festivals, local authorities, among others, gives her a unique and comprehensive understanding of the Portuguese and European music scene, driving a dynamic of internationalization of Portuguese musicians and projects, while actively contributing to the development of the artistic and cultural fabric in Portugal. Vanessa directs several projects with Portuguese and European public funding, such as “Season Artway” (DGArtes sustained support) and "Building Musical Heritage" (European Cooperation-Creative Europe). With these two projects, Vanessa Pires stands out in the executive direction and artistic programming with a special focus on the decentralization of the cultural offer and training of new audiences through the “Festival Província Sonora” and “BEYRA Laboratório Artístico”, among other initiatives.
With a comprehensive and differentiating global vision, Vanessa Pires also created a record label with two catalogs – Artway Records and Artway Next – and the mentoring program for young musicians and their emerging projects, Artway Showcase.
She teaches the subjects of Artistic Career Management and Introduction to Programming and Production of Cultural Events at ESMAE IPPorto.

DALILA TEIXEIRA

Dalila Teixeira completed her degree in piano at ESMAE under the guidance of Miguel Borges Coelho (2015) and completed her master's degree in artistic interpretation at the same institution (2019) under the guidance of Pedro Burmester and Daniel Moreira. In his master's thesis, he presents a strong analytical component of Olivier Messiaen's "Quatour pour la fin du Temps", combined with a performative work with the Quarteto Caleidoscópio. Since then, this training has aimed to promote a dialog between performance and light, in an innovative type of show. Thus, her research and performance work go hand in hand with her work life, which involves being an accompanying pianist and piano teacher. At the same time, she also intends to focus on concert management and production, especially of recent projects that are being launched.
She has taken part in numerous piano courses with some of the most outstanding teachers in Portugal and abroad.
She is currently working with Casa da Música's Education Service on three projects: Casa da Música Children's Choir, Children's Choir in Schools and "A minha Companhia de Ópera". She is also the accompanying pianist for Coro Lira, teaches piano at Academia de Música Valentim de Carvalho and at Colégio dos Salesianos, and also directs the Rehearsal Room Choir of Teatro de Ferro and Canto Livre Choir.

Ana Morais has been part of Artway team since January 2024. She has a postgraduate degree in Arts Management from the School of Arts of Universidade Católica Portuguesa – Porto, and a Postgraduate Degree in Social Economics (Faculty of Economics and Management of Universidade Católica Portuguesa - Porto). From an early age, she worked as an executive producer on several cultural projects in the city of Porto, including Associação Amigos do Coliseu do Porto, Gesto - Cooperativa Cultural, CRL and FITEI – Festival Internacional de Teatro de Expressão Ibérica, in the theater companies “As Boas Raparigas vão para o céu, as más para todo o lado” and “ASSÉDIO – Associação de Ideias Obscuras”. She was a programming assistant in the Population Involvement area of the Cultural Programming Department of Porto 2001 – European Capital of Culture, S.A., participating in the coordination/production and management of various internal projects, and supporting the production and management of external projects. She also worked, in 2003/4, as an advisor for the Production of the Educational Service Coordinator, at Casa da Música/ Porto 2001, S.A., being her responsibility, among others, for organizing, promoting and maintaining contacts with the teacher network collaborators; the organization, promotion and contacts with schools; technical support in the production of musical shows by and for young people and technical support in the production of Educational Service seminars. In the academic years 2005/6 and 2006/7 she taught the “Sociology and Culture” module integrated into the “Cultural Management” discipline, in the Stage Direction and Production Course at ESMAE-Escola Superior de Música e das Artes do Espetáculo do Porto Polytechnic Institute.

Daniela Pinto, assessora de imprensa, com mais de 20 anos de experiência em marketing e comunicação, na área do entretenimento e cultura.
Trabalhou como gestora de produto em editoras discográficas como a EMI Music Portugal e Warner, responsável por lançamentos de artistas como Depeche Mode, Nick Cave, Air, Daft Punk, Interpol, Placebo, Ben Harper, Janet Jackson, Michael Bublé, entre outros.
Trabalhou também como Export Manager na EMI Music, responsável pela divulgação de artistas portugueses a nível internacional: Madredeus, Teresa Salgueiro, Camané, Da Weasel.
Experiência na área dos eventos, onde trabalhou na empresa Lemon Portugal.
Desde 2016 trabalha como freelancer na área de assessoria de imprensa, divulgando o trabalho de artistas musicais, Companhias de Teatro, e outras instituições culturais.
Tatiana Vargas is a public relations professional by training and works primarily as a cultural producer. She has professional experience in communication consultancy and cultural project management. In Brazil, she provided communication consultancy for theater groups, chamber orchestras, art centers, and especially for artists in the music field. She served as the executive producer for the show *Memórias Líquidas – Luís Bittencourt*, held in Brazil in 2016 with funding from the Santa Maria Cultural Incentive Law (LIC).
In Portugal, she was responsible for the production, communication, and multimedia sectors of the 2010 and 2011 editions of the *Festivais de Outono*, organized by the João Jacinto Magalhães Foundation and the Department of Communication and Art of the University of Aveiro.
In recent years, she has been working as an artist manager and in the preparation of grant applications for arts funding, as well as managing projects approved by the Directorate-General for the Arts, among others. Her roles in these projects include submission, management, production, and communication consultancy. She holds a PhD in Cultural Studies from the Universities of Aveiro and Minho.
JOÃO ESTEVES DA SILVA
Artway Editions: Artway Jazz
João Esteves da Silva was born in Lisbon in 1994. He has been part of the Artway team since 2025. He considers himself, first and foremost, a music listener, with three interrelated strands of application: criticism, programming/curation, and record production.
As a critic, he has written for online publications such as Bandcamp, The Free Jazz Collective, and jazz.pt. As a curator, he was responsible for the Ciclo Jovens Improvisadores at O’culto da Ajuda in 2018 and has been organizing the Encontros de Composição Espontânea at Casa Cheia since 2024. As a producer, he has been the artistic director of the Artway Jazz catalog since 2025, focusing on the work of contemporary Portuguese musician-composers.
He is also a PhD candidate at the Program in Literary Theory at the University of Lisbon, currently writing a dissertation on taste (notably in the context of music criticism), framed within an inquiry into the philosophy of mind.
